St. Peters Academy of Dance

St. Peters Academy of Dance S.P.A.D. is committed to educating each student about the fundamentals of dance, its natural progression in technique to form a complete dance education, self-esteem, confidence and discipline in each of its dancers. Students are encouraged to participate in an atmosphere that is both positive and professional. S.P.A.D. is known as the best-run studio in the area and was voted the #1 Dance Studio in St. Charles County by the Suburban Journal newspapers. The office is well organized and “always” staffed by individuals who are sensitive to parental issues. Every effort is made to keep the parents informed and prepared. An important aspect of teaching dance is hiring quality teachers. Therefore, S.P.A.D. employs teachers with a BA in dance or an Associate’s degree in dance and other similar educational degrees. S.P.A.D. provides educational dance programs for the beginner through advanced, as well as a strong competitive program.

“I have two daughters who love to dance. One has been at SPAD for over 6 years. The other one just getting ready to start her 2nd year. We love the instructors and the owner Ms. Kathy is fantastic. The instructors make learning dance and using proper technique so much fun! They instill values of hard work, goal setting, and confidence in all of their dancers. All dancers have the opportunity to perform in a year end recital–very professional and amazing to watch! If you are looking for a dance studio for your children to grow with, this is the one!“

The 8,000 square foot free standing dance studio features “floating dance floors,” six dance studios, two waiting areas, a full-time office staff, wall to wall mirrors, a dancers lounge for homework and snack areas.

SPAD takes great pride in hiring highly trained and educated professional instructors. The studio staff is comprised of individuals with extensive dance experience, many years of teaching experience, and over 90% of the staff have obtained or are currently working toward a college degree.
